We depend on regular giving from our church members to fund our mission and ministry in the local area. Setting up a regular standing order is the best way to give. You can also give online or via the contactless card reader at St Michael’s before and after Sunday services.
Take a listen to our November 2025 sermon about what giving means when you’re part of the St Michael’s Church family.

Give as You Earn / Payroll Giving (via CAF or Charities Trust)
Donate straight from your pay before tax. Your donation is calculated after your National Insurance contribution, but before Income Tax is deducted; this means that part of your donation comes from money that would otherwise have been taken by HMRC.
Ask your HR or Payroll Manager whether your company has signed up to CAF Give As You Earn or Charities Trust Payroll Giving and, if so, how you can join the scheme. You may need to provide the Registered Charity Number at the bottom of this sheet. For more information please go to the following websites:

Matched Funding
If you regularly volunteer at or donate to St Michael’s Church, you may be able to claim Matched Funding from your employer. Some organisations will match fund on a £ for £ basis, others will stipulate what they are prepared to give. Please check with your employer as to whether there is a scheme in place and if you are eligible to claim Matched Funding for St Michael’s Church.
End of Tax Year Giving
As the end of the tax year is approaching it may be expedient for you to donate a lump sum to charity. If this is the case and you would like to donate to St Michael’s Church, please use the account number provided above for Standing Orders.
