Seeds of Hope and Love is a wonderful inspirational mix of original sacred songs by David Clifton who is a musician, songwriter and artist from London, England. It has been engineered and produced by Canadian producer Julian Kindred, and mixed by Jon Kelly, who also mixed David’s much acclaimed Christmas Carols and Songs album which he recorded under the group name IKOS.
After leaving college David joined an indie rock band which was signed to Virgin records, later going on to record and tour for artists such as Julia Fordham and Tanita Tikaram. He also toured in supporting acts for Clannad, Sheryl Crow, Bob Geldof and Suzanne Vega, and played for Julia on Sarah McLachlan’s Lilleth Fair tour.
He became involved with contemporary sacred music through recording with Delirious (Cutting Edge 1), Matt Redman and Graham Kendrick, and put together the band for Robin Mark’s first Revival in Belfast project. It was during his time as director of music at St. Paul’s Onslow Square, and whilst at Holy Trinity Brompton, London, that he first began to write and record worship songs and hymns.
The musicians who play on Seeds of Hope and Love are Paul Evans on drums, James Gregory on Bass, and Mark Edwards on Hammond organ. David sings and plays acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin and mandola.
Not to be missed.
